  NVidia GTX 1080 Support

  Hi,
  anyone know what the status of the nvidea GTX 1080 is?

  On the October 2017 (12.0) release of Premiere there is no mention of this card. Yet it is a popular card on the newer $2k-$5k boxes you may have.

  Some people report that it works but would adobe disown them for the unsupported card?
  Does it mean the pascal architecture is not supported?
  Is it just heating the room up?

  Does it work and is it supported but not documented yet?

  That list is really old, there are a ton of cards that are not listed there that are supported.
  As far as the Pascal Architecture goes it would be supported if there are drivers available for your particular OS.

  In another post there has been a report of trouble with 1000 series cards. They also mentioned the Adobe supported gpu list.

  When I say “supported” I’m really referring to a contractual or business statement. When Adobe puts a GPU on the list that is an implication they have tested it. I suppose it means you could sue them that card is subsequently found not to work.

  That the card may work is a separate thing to whether it is supported or not.
  If that list is old, is there another list that is up to date?
