Im running a 5D mk iv, and was recording to my Ninja Assassin to 60p @ 1080. I brought my footage into Premier Pro CC and dropped it into my regular sequence preset for editing. (DSLR preset,@ 23.97 but at 816 rather than 1080). My assassin is set to record to prores, and i haven’t tried slowing it down before, now im trying to slow down my 60p footage by 40% and my footage is really choppy, looking like if i slowed a 23.97 file in a 23.97 sequence. I have recorded 1080 at 60p right onto my 5D and used this method and its worked fine in the past, is there anything that would be different with Prores?

Instead of slowing the clip down in your sequence, try right-clicking the clip in your project window and selecting Modify–>Interpret Footage. Change the frame-rate from 60 to 23.98.
