  Improving fluidity in the Source Monitor

  I wonder if it’s possible to improve the fluidity of the video when viewing a rush in the Premiere Pro Source Monitor and in the Program Monitor as well before the timeline is rendered. When I display the same rush in any video software such as Windows Media Player or VideoLan, I do not see any lack of fluidity.

  Windows 10 – 64bits
  Intel Core i7-2700K – 16 Go Bits RAM
  3 screen display using 2 x Nvidia GeForce GTS450 video board

  Sounds like you need to upgrade your computer components.

  There’s no issues with playback on either source or program side for a system with a graphics card and cpu that meet the Premiere requirements.

  WMP is a player, Prpro is a NLE: big difference.
  You are on an old machine, when viewing e.g. avchd which is highly compressed your system might not keep up.

  Which improvment would you advice me to make first? Any suggestion on a video board (not too expensive)?

  No point in just buying a new videocard.
  You need a brand new of everything.
