  Faster way to cut clips in Premire?

  Is there a faster way to cut a part of a clip out, and have the other clips trailing and ahead of it be put side by side? I mean, So that I don’t have to zoom out of my timeline, grab everything a head of my current clip, drop it, and zoom back in?

  Ripple delete.

  Once you have used the razor blade tool to establish both sides of your cut, right click on the section to be removed and select “Ripple Delete.” That section will be deleted and everything following it will be moved forward to fill the gap.

  – Make the 1st cut
  – move play head to where you want the 2nd cut
  – press q

  Done.

  Q and W shortcut keys are superfast ways to trim heads and tails of clips and close the gap.
