hi, not a regular Premiere user, but needed to do some editing this week. all of a sudden the app is totally unusable. beachballing all the time, playback don’t work, not with clips nor sequences, it just freezes, nothing happens. when changing workspace, looks even totally weird. tried removing+re-installing. tried to look for older versions but they are nowhere to be found. the “previous versions” section in the creative cloud panel is useless (says its up to date, even that it isn’t installed…). what’s the next thing to do? appreciate any tips.

i’m on 3,5 GHz6-core Xeon E5 mac pro 64 gigs of ram, OS Sierra, graphics seems to be AMD FirePro D500 3072MB

To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting.

I see you have premiere cs6 installed. is that normally the version you use?
    perhaps adobe cloud is corrupted.

have you tried the adobe cleaner to remove premiere and adobe cloud?
any gfx driver changes or h.264 acceleration turned on?

the reset already worked. thanks a lot!
got a error message though, but that’s no biggie.
