    Hi All —

I’m having a problem with PPro 11.1.2 on a Windows 10/GTX1080x2/64GB RAM system with updated NVIDIA (382.53) drivers. Upon launch, the program hangs on loading the Quicktime module and gives the error message ‘Cannot find capable video playback module. I’ve run through the steps suggested in the Adobe helpx document found here:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/error—preludevideo-play-modules.html

Including reinstalling the Microsoft C++ Visual Redistributable with the help of the Majorgeeks installer tool found here: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/visual_c_runtime_installer.html

I’ve uninistalled 11.1.2 and rolled back to 11.1.1 and the same error persists, despite that being the version I was on previously. Rolling back to 11.0.2 allows the program to load and start up, but I’ll lose a couple of weeks worth of work, being unable to open up the newer projects I’ve been working on. I foolishly updated to 11.1.2 because importing media on 11.1.1 would cause Premiere to freeze for 40-60 seconds before it would recover and I was desperate for that to be fixed. Be careful what you wish for, but at least it doesn’t hang on import anymore — ’cause it won’t even load! ????

Anyone have any thoughts on what might be the problem?
