At work I have a great HPZ820 that is rock solid. Wanting to get a PC for editing at home I’m finding that the recommendations for video cards are all over the place.

Can you please recommend what is a good card that will support 2 screens. I don’t need a gaming mega card,

    Many thanks for any info.

    Many thanks.

A GTX 1060 would be a good option for most editing needs. If you can afford it a GTX 1080 will give you more real-time performance. If you want to edit 4K at full resolution the GTX 1080 would be a better option.

    Hi Eric,

Answered in other post, but the GTX 1060/1070 cards are great for Premiere, and make sure you have a Core i7 with min. 16GB, SSD boot and fast video storage.

    Thanks

    Thank you very much Jeff.

While I will up the RAM to 32 gigs, the Acer I’m looking at has on board:

    Intel® Core™ i7 processor Intel® Core™ i7-7700 processor Quad-core 3.60 GHz

    Nvidia® GeForce® GTX 1060 with 3 GB Dedicated Memory
    16 GB, DDR4 SDRAM

    1 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD.

Thanks again for getting back to me. Not working in NY or Boston any longer is great, but not having experienced people next to me can be a pain sometimes.

    Best to you.

    Eric

    Many thanks.
