How to duplicate sequence and all items inside it? (template)
Hi. I have done nice animation in Premiere Pro.
I want to make something like template for mi video. It will be title inside two sequences. I want to change title in every duplicated sequence.
My project looks like this:
SEQUENCE (main sequence that i want to duplicate)
> SEQUENCE (sequence which have motion effects and blur on it)
>> TITLE (just title I want to change in every duplicated sequence)
>> IMAGE (I won’t change it in duplicated sequence)When I duplicate “main” sequence and change title inside, the title of previous “main” sequence will be changed. Is possible to duplicate sequence and all items inside it?

Yes I believe it is possible. Right click on the sequence of the prproj tab, just select Duplicate!

I’m not sure if this will solve your problem.
Duplicating a sequence within a project will not create new instances of dependent objects.
The new sequences will still link to the original asset.You might try this by working in a empty project, and importing that sequence from a template project.
In this way every time you wanted a new instance, you could import the sequence again.
This would give you another instance of that title that you can change independently.

Here is the simple solution. To change a title in any sequence without affecting that title used in other places, do this: Double-click the title in the sequence, which opens Titler. Click the “T” icon at upper left corner, which is New Title from Current Title.
Name it, then make any desired changes, and exit titler. You’ve just created a new, unique title which will appear in the Project Bin.
Immediately go back to original title in sequence (that you just changed) and right-click and select Replace with Clip > From Bin
This will replace the current instance of the title with the new one you just made. The original title is untouched and unchanged in any other sequence. Any effects that were applied to original title remain intact.
Just be careful to make sure you click the NEW button before modifying the title, as I sometimes forget and then I do overwrite the original! Once you do this process a few times, you will see how fast and easy it is.

My workaround is to make a copy of a title within the sequence by alt-dragging title1 onto a new layer and then immediately dragging the resultant ‘title2’ back to replace title1.
This is a new instance of the original title. Although sometimes I screw up!
Off to file a FR for a right-click / keyboard shortcut option to ‘create new instance of selected titles…

I agree with both of you on making instances of individual titles while working….
all that is true…
he’s looking for more of a “true comp duplicator” type workflow.
Importing the template repeatedly will offer an entirely fresh set of titles in a fresh sequence, as opposed to one offs…
at least that’s the way I read it…..
