  No video, only sound on playback for Premiere Pro CC2017

  So there’s something really weird going on with my playback on a particular video I’m trying to work on.
  All the media loads properly whenever I open this project, but when I try to edit it then the video disappears.
  The video will show up for a few seconds but once I move around the video then the video itself on the playback screen goes away. Only the sound plays.

  The strange thing is that if I open another project the video files in there work properly.
  By the way, I am working with .mov and .mp4 files

  Without much more information about your system, media storage, OS, version of Premiere Pro, etc., we cannot help much.

  Take a look at my signature, and try to provide at least that information. It will help move things “off the dime.”

  System:
  Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
  Win 7 64-bit
  32GB RAM
  Adobe CC 2015.02 (as of 6/2016)
  256GB SSD system drive
  4 internal media drives RAID 5
  Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.
