I’ve tested both jpeg and psd, both in sRGB. In Premiere’s preview window and in the exported file, the stills appear oversaturated irrespective of the viewer used. In Photoshop, the image appears fine.

So it turns out my issue might be more of a Photoshop CC issue than a Premiere issue.

In further testing, I noticed the following: my Photoshop document was in sRGB and looked exactly how I wanted it. Proof Colors was off. As soon as I saved it as JPEG, the colors of this new file became all oversaturated.

Is it likely Photoshop is displaying with no color profile at all?

does it match if you click in photoshop convert profile to rec. 709 16-235? proof colors needs to be on to see what it will look like in premiere as rec. 709.

For that test, I converted it to Rec. 709, saved and imported the PSD into Premiere – still getting the oversaturated colors.
