How can you create proxy files with dual system audio files attached?

For the first time I shot 4K footage with the Sony A7sii camera. This camera also creates its own proxy files. The proxy files however, have a different name than the 4K files. Should I and can I use these proxy files in premier? Or do I need proxy files with the same name as the full-size files? (in other words, should I ignore the sony proxies and create my own with media encoder?)

I understand that I can merge the dual system audio with my 4k files that have already been imported into premiere. It doesn’t seem to make sense to merge the dual system audio with both the proxy files and the 4K files, but I would like to hear the good quality audio as I edit with the proxies.

Can you make proxies from Merged Audio 4k clips?

Can someone please describe the workflow to utilize dual system audio as well as proxies? My iMac cannot run 4K files very well unfortunately.

Thanks for any help in advance

Haven’t gotten any replies, but in case anyone reads this – would Pluraleyes4 be the answer to my problems?
