Hard Drive Recovered but No Access to Adobe Software
Hello fellow members in the pasture!
Recently, my iMac, OSX 10.9.5 crashed. Through a Mac repair store I was able to recover the contents of the hard drive. It required that the tech reinstall the OSX. They isolated my hard drive contents in one folder for me. Everything is there, even in the correct folders and such. However, when I try to access my Adobe Production Premimum package software, I get an “Error 16” message. Anyone encounter something like this before? Thanks for any help you can give.

try adobe’s cleanup tool and reinstall all adobe software. a partial recovery of a partition isn’t going to have installed files properly working just copying and pasting folders around. also, since this is a fresh install, make sure permissions are setup as well.

Sorry everyone. Dumb of me. I have both CS 5.5 and CS 6 packages on my machine. Another wrinkle or big fold…is that I work for Indiana University as an hourly doing post work at home. We have Adobe software for free at IU. However, you can only download it to install. You are not given a disc. A few years back, they decreed that everyone go CC. They do not support back in CS levels. Also, I live in a rural area, with only satellite internet available. I can use up my monthly allotment of gigs for faster speed quickly. When we use it up on just daily use, it goes slow back to 2001 speeds. Thanks.

request the cs6 disk from adobe or download it from somewhere else and burn to disk. without a full 100% partition backup, programs won’t work correctly.
