Nvidia Graphics Card Recommendations for 2009 Mac Pro for Premiere Pro
Does anybody have a graphics card recommendation for a 2009 Mac Pro to use with Premiere Pro? We are looking to speed up color rendering and exporting on some older machines.
I’ve heard a lot of anecdotal recommendations to not put anything better than a Nvidia GTA 960 or 970 into the machine, because you won’t get any improved performance going with something better like the Nvidia GTX 980 Ti. The thing is I cannot find any evidence of WHY this is, since all speed tests are done on more modern machines or PCs.
Anybody have any insight on this?
I was also thinking that the better card could always be put into a better system later, so it wouldn’t be a complete loss if it truly doesn’t perform any better
