I did a caption file for an 86-minute long feature in PremiereProCC 2015.3.
Suddenly, it will not show up when I play the timeline.
The caption file is still there, captions are “enabled,” when I enlarge the file I can read the text boxes.
It was playing until yesterday and now won’t appear.

Is the video track turned on? A small eye shaped icon next to the track number indicates it is visible. If it is nested, you may need to check the original sequence, and make sure all your data is relinked. If you are not seeing the “Media Not Available”, I would first check your track activation, as that is most likely the culprit. Then click on the video and check the effects controls under opacity. Finally, unlink your video, and relink. If nothing works, try playing the video outside of premiere. If it has issues, the data is corrupting. Hope you have a backup.

    Thanks for your answer.
Actually, a friend of mine found what was wrong. I was still in the “captions” and needed to go back to “edit.”

However, I made a mistake when I wrote the captions. I should have used OPEN captions, rather than closed ones.
It would have been a lot easier.
The tutorial I watched a few months ago didn’t explain the difference.
