  Upgrade to 2015.3 problem – sharpen causes video to go black

  When I try to apply sharpen to a video clip, the clip goes black when the sharpen setting is anything but 0.
  Has anyone experienced this with the latest update? If so, is there a fix?

  Not that one, but I’ve seen a few weird behaviors to the point I’ve stopped using the update and am waiting for some update updates.

  Try turning the Mercury Playback Engine setting to software.

  To be fair the updates for me at least (MAC) are always great/stable every other release.
  The most stable version ever for me of all time was CC.

  Then the next release is chock full of trouble and I don’t use it until the update gets patched.
  Some times I skip a version altogether.

  This appears to be on track as an unuseable version (still on 2015.2 with hardly any issues)
