  Transferring footage to offsite editor – solutions?

  Hello everyone,

  I’ve used this site forever but this is my first post. Thank you to the community!

  I have been editing footage from events which are happening all over the U.S. and other than sending me the SD cards in snail mail… is there a solution to get me the footage quicker? I’m freelance, an I suppose I could just get some web hosting with a large capacity and have them start an upload, but the connection speeds where they are are not always ideal… is this just a dumb first world problem? Curious to see if anyone on here has similar experience and what they have found that works best?

  Hi,

  I find that collaboratively, DropBox can work well. It really becomes a drag and drop operation for people to get material to you.

  you might want to look into frameIO as they have some nice optional tie ins with PPro and claim accelerated upload speeds over traditional upload.
