  Scale a clip in timeline vs scale the output

  Is there a noticeable difference in rendering time between placing a clip in a smaller sequence and scaling it down to fit the sequence then render……vs…. keeping the clip full size and changing the output size in the render options?

  I’m on an iMac 27″ HD w/24 gigs of RAM and it all works pretty well, but in the interest of saving whatever time I can when re-encoding, I thought I’d ask more experienced people before tearing through the 14 vids I have.

  Sounds to me like a good opportunity for an A/B test.
