  Keeping source files in hard drive or solid state drive.

  I have a PC that i built. I have had 1 TB hard drive and recently purchased 250GB solid state drive.
  I am going to install windows and adobe on solid state drive and keep my old hard drive as storage.

  so i was wondering using adobe programs and project files in solid state drive is useless if i keep my source files in my old hard drive?

  Be sure to use the SSD as your Media Cache Database. Preferences > Media > Media Cache Database > Browse…

  Your render times will be noticeably faster. If your spinning disks are 7200rpm, you won’t bottleneck those.

  cool. thank you for the advice. plus I learned that hdd can be called ‘spinning disk’ and a new phrase, ‘bottleneck.’have a good day.
