  • “align” and “distribute” text tabs inactives

    Hello everybody!
I am not sure why and could not find an explanation on these forums. But I am doing text with premiere pro cs6 and I have to place it evenly over footage, I like to see a grid (like the one in photoshop but I can’t find it) or I like to be able to space it evenly (not only by eye). I know I could do it with the align or distribute tabs on the text, but they are greyed out, and yes, I am highlighting the text so is active, but the tabs are still inactive.

    Attached an image…
Does anybody know what I have to do?
    Thanks in advance!
    Esther.

Align and distribute is for arranging objects (text blocks or shapes) in the drawing area.
For Align you need at least two objects for distribute three.

If you want to adjust the letters in a text you use tracking and or kerning.

Thanks Ann! just now I could read this..

    I will use kerning.

But when you mean tracking, do you mean in after effects?
