  noob quesiton: imported avi file stretched

  I’m trying to import an AVI file (converted from VOB) into CS3 and it’s stretched vertically (wrong aspect ratio). The footage was shot in 4:3 so that’s what I’ve tried using: DV-NTSC standard 48kHz in the new project window. However, I’ve also tried most of the other formats, including 16:9, without success. The video frame size is grayed out in custom settings, but reads 720 x 480. The avi file plays fine (not stretched) in both VLC media player and Windows media player. I know it should work since I’ve imported video from the same camcorder before and it wasn’t stretched, though that was months ago so I may be missed a step. Thanks.
