  • Adobe Premiere Pro: can any version ingest and export 4 channels of audio?

Our facility records DVCAM with 4 channels of audio (different languages per channel). The archive department uses Premiere Pro 4 in ingest the material for archives. From those ingested files, they need to export them occasionally back to tape or to export a custom version with one or two or three of the original language channels intact.

I know that Premiere 4 does not all you to do this (so our archives people ingest the same clip twice in order to retain all 4 channels of audio. This is really quite backward.

The company is willing to upgrade to any newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro if it has the capability to both ingest and to export video with 4 channels of audio (like FCP and Avid.)

Many thanks in advance for your advice.
