About to go head first into a project that will require a lot of syncing with audio recorded onto a separate device. I caved when Red Giant had the 40% off sale a few weeks ago and purchased PluralEyes.

After doing some tests, I’m wondering what the actual proper workflow is. Can I edit my sequence first and send it to PE for syncing? That kind of seems like wishful thinking. Not to mention that from what I’ve experienced so far, that doesn’t exactly workout – if there is an audio or video clip that does not need to be synced to anything, PE freaks out. That or I’m doing something wrong.

The other option I see is that I have to sync every single piece of footage shot. I’m sure it would work but it also seems highly inefficient, syncing shots that won’t be used anyways. Also, if this is the proper way of doing things, is there a way of creating new master clips with the synced audio?

    Thanks in advance!

I’d like to know this too. I used Plural Eyes for the first time, and ended up with a synced sequence that was hours long because I synced everything. The sound quality was very good, I must say.
