  Adding text without the elaborate Title Creator thing

  Is there a way in Premiere to just add a line of text – no fancy effects or anything – without using the title thing? Like the basic text effect in FCP?

  Hit ctrl+T. Then just make a simple text line. Hopefully that’s what you meant. It doesn’t have to be elaborate.
