Is anybody shooting on the c100 and editing on PPro CS 5 or 5.5? As this is my first upgrade to HD (yeah still rocking the GL2) I am wondering what he workflow will be like, specifically any need for file format conversion before editing.

I am able to edit out of my t3i and my 5D easily. Is the wrapper and format the same and as easily editable?

Or, should I try to upgrade to CS6?
Funds are limited this early in my next film’s current stage

    thanks

I am using CS6, for the first time, and my C100 footage.

I had some problems… Tho this could be my Mac Book Pro specs which I will add below.

From the editing side of things I noticed CS6 didnt seem to like longer clips.. by longer I mean 15 mins+.

They took an age to play or render…

I had a Hard Drive hang alot… I couldnt eject the drive and so had to “punch out” in the wrong way and even had to reformat the drive 3 times… thank god for back ups!

I am on Snow Leopard and I have read that it doesnt like external hard drives.

Aside from that stuff, which was frustrating, I found it all worked quite well really.

So I cant say if upgrading from 5 – 6 is worth it but my expereience as described above was both good and bad.

People have recommended transcoding to the Cineform codec… I havent done this but I may do a test.
