I can’t remember how to put a light grey rectangle behind subtitle text to separate it from the video footage. I know how to import these shapes from Photoshop, but there must be a faster way in Premiere. I just can’t remember. Please help! I’m sure it’s a quick fix but I’ve been unsuccessful in all search terms I’ve used to figure it out.

    Thanks a bunch!

Rectangles and other shapes can be inserted manually with the Title Designer. What method are you using to add the subtitles?

Indeed! Had been working in the title designer andI finally noticed the shapes. Feel like such an airhead.

    Thanks so much.
