  Is there a way to limit edge selection pointer?

  Most of the time I need my mouse to move a block of video, not trim the edges. Yet when I have a small clip or a small transition my only option is the edge selection mouse pointer.

  My work around is I have to zoom in really close, select the clip and then move it.

  Is there a way to limit the mouse pointer to not always be the edge selector?

  No only way is to zoom in.
  This annoying behavior has been fixed in Premiere CC.
