  importing .mov files from Nanoflash

  I’m recording .mov files using a Nanoflash recorder, but Premiere CS6 won’t import the files, complaining that “Codec missing or unavailable.”

  What should I do to correct this?

  The recorder uses MPEG-2 compression. You either need to grab Calibrated-Q https://www.calibratedsoftware.com/QXD.asp which will read MPEG2 MOV files or re-wrap the files to MP4 which Premiere should read without issue using something like MPEG Streamclip https://www.squared5.com/

  Lorenzo,

  I tried MPEG Streamclip, which is a great program, but it did not include video in the MPEG-4 file it created, just sound only. VLC can play the files perfectly. I’m enclosing a snapshot of my settings

  I’ve tried using MPEG STreamclip but it only transfer sound, not video, to an mpeg file.

  Any other thoughts of getting .mov files into Premiere CS6?
