Hi, I’m trying to recreate in Premiere what i was able to do in FCP concerning audio mapping for export. We are a reversioning company so all audio we receive is mixed already.

    Audio Configuration for delivery

    1&2 STEREO MIX
    3&4 M&E
    5&6 FRONT LEFT/RIGHT
    7&8 CENTRE/LFE
    9&10 LEFT SURR/RIGHT SURROUND
    11&12 SILENCE
    13&14 SILENCE
    15&16 SILENCE

In FCP you can make a clip mono/stereo by unlinking audio (Alt=L), so if there is a glitch on track 2 you can unlink the audio and make mono and copy down the clean audio from track 1. then make them stereo again. Basically we need to use them as stereo tracks but have the ability to edit each track independently of each other in certain occasions, whether it be to fix a glitch or to edit the 5.1 tracks independently of each other.

Whether that be work in a mono sequence and copy that sequence into a stereo sequence after editing.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Jason
