Premiere Pro 6 used for still images “hiccup”
Pls understand I am new to video. ‘Stills’ are my experience. here is my question:
when loading 45 ‘still’ JPGs, all individually less than the 16MB limit, I see the full image in the Source window but when placed on the timeline they display in the Program window missing about 30% of the lower portion of the image. Performance is not an issue as far as I can tell from working with the Adobe Classroom In A Book. What am I failing top do correctly? Thnx in advance.

What size are the pictures and what size is the sequence you are trying to put them in?

The images are (were) 3600×2880 ppi. Resolution was set at 360 (Epson pro printers optimal res.).
I may have answered my own question however. I downsized a single image to 1080×1350 (1920×1080 would have altered the aspect ratio) to see if PP6 needed to see a the same (or very near) size as my default video setting… which is set for a P2 AVCHD 1920×1080 (1080/60p). Vid Cam is the Panasonic AG-AC90. and that permitted the full image to appear in the Program window correctly.
But this begs the question of size and resolution. If PP6 can be used for RED (4K) why the issue? My display is a 30″ running at its native 2560×1600.
Cured but do not know why. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The thing is the resolution of the still is way bigger than the resolution of the timeline. You can right click the still image in the timeline and choose to scale the clip to fit. You can also set the automatic scaling as default in the options.
