    I know that track select (a) or shift-a selects the tracks to the right of the cursor. Is there a way to select the tracks to the LEFT of the cursor (as can be done in Final Cut)

    If I remember well, when you press alt the tool will invert the selection. I don’t have Premiere with me right now, but will check and give you a better answer soon.

    No it appears that using Alt allows you to grab all tracks above and below on the timeline moving to the right. I don’t see anything that allows you to work from the left.

    I remember selecting everything to the left on CS 5, but now on CS6 I can’t find the way of doing it. I even checked on the Adobe Premiere book and nothing.
