Reuseable transparent credits spanning multiple projects…best way?
So I have a series of videos done during a performance. Each short 5 minute performance is different, but the same credits are needed. I have generated a rolling credit for the first one, but when I render it out (say to mxf or avi) the transparency is lost. How do you ‘share’ credits and titles across projects in Pr? Or is the ‘right’ way to do this by doing all the videos in separate timelines inside the same project,and sharing the credits that way? But the question still stands. If I do end up having a separate project, how do I share transparent items, like titles?

It depends on your workflow, if you like “episodes” in separate projects, go for it, or if you can handle them all in one project even better. Different strokes for different folks.
If you’re using separate projects and using Premiere’s titler, why don’t you create a brand new project where all it has is a title crawl, then you can import that project into your actual video projects as needed? It would probably take up far less space than rendering out a video file with alpha. As long as you don’t have to go cross NLE with Avid or Final Cut, it seems like a sensible answer.

Thanks. The notion of ‘importing them into the new project’ is what I was looking for. For now, I think I’ll be fine with separate timelines, as the project is small. There’s a use though I have for ongoing credits for a different project, and importing the credit project is probably the way to go. Thanks.

Save the credits as an template in the Titler.
It even saves the roll option.
You can use it in any project.———————————————–

Just to clarify for new users.
- Open the title you have created that you want as a template in the future
- With it open, go to Top menu. Titles
- Templates
- A box opens with choices of templates. you will see a small arrow button under the X to close the window that has just opened. It’s on the upper right hand corner
- Click on that button to open the dialogue
- One of the choices is “Import Current Title As Template
- Give it a name
