• Adobe Premiere Pro

  Files and PRoject recorded on external HArd driver

  Hi,
  I have created an video project with Adobe premier pro.
  All my project movies and files (sound, video, photos) have been recorded on an external HArd disk.
  Is there a way (procedure) to redirect my files and projects on the PC itself instead of using an Ext.HD ?

  Are you asking how to move them? You can just put the project and media in the same folder and drag it to your internal drive?

  Or are you asking how to do it for the future? (Done when you create a project)

  You can just put the project and media in the same folder and drag it to your internal drive?
  Chris>> It is correct that my projects and media are on a separate folders – however I am wondering that even if I move the projects and media within the same folder, how APP is able to retrieve the path folder. Let’s say that my files are currently on a E:external drive , so when I open APP the application is able to retrieve the files on the “E” DD. However what is the procedure to migrate the files on the internal c: DD, how the application can retrieve the files to be used …?

  As long as they keep the same relationship (if the project was on the folder outside of the media, put both in the relative same place) you won’t even need to do anything.

  If you somehow screw it up, Premiere Pro will ask you to find one of the clips and then try and relink all the relative path.

  Don’t take my word – do it on a project with 3 clips!
