  Premiere and Encore Output

  Hi,

  I created a short video with a title using Premiere Pro only.
  The sequence settings match the video files.
  I then export the sequence to Encore and build a DVD from that.
  It burns onto the disc perfectly but when I look at the DVD, the title is no longer sharp and crisp.
  I don’t know what is wrong. I used the right encoding settings in encore as far as I know.
  The video is upper field and I encoded it the same.
  I don’t know why the title is distorted and doubled.
  It looks like I need glasses or am wearing the wrong prescription.
  It’s lovely and crisp in Premiere but when it gets to Encore and then the DVD, it isn’t anymore.

  If anyone can help and needs more info, please let me know.
  The footage came from a camcorder with a hard drive so I didn’t need to capture the footage.
  I checked the settings of the footage using “MediaInfo”
  I don’t know if the quality of the footage is dodgy too but i guess its possible as the title is dodgy.

  I really am confused.
  Any ideas?

  Hi Russell,

  Have you tried watching the DVD on a TV set rather than on the computer itself? Computer displays are non-interlaced and this will affect what you see when viewing an interlaced DVD.

  I tried playing it through my playstation onto my HD TV too and it still looked distorted.
  I will try again but I believe that it should look fine whatever field you are using?
  I must be missing something simple.
