  How to create the same title effects as in this video?

  How do I create the same title effects as in this video?

  By titles I mean the ones that say Exterior Front, Exterior Back, Foyer, etc…

  I don’t know how to have the black bar slide in, then have the word slide in, then have both slide out.

  I’m totally new at Premiere.

  Hi Victor,

  Would be too lengthy to give you the full step by step, if you are starting from scratch! I recommend study, study, study and dig in. There are tons of training available, free and paid, through CD, DVD, online, and books.

  I can say that the way the text writes on looks like one of the Text Animation presets available in After Effects. The black box could be created with Adobe Titler in Premiere, and then animated with Adobe Motion effect using a few keyframes, but could just as well have been done in AE.

  But if you are not familiar with either of these applications, impossible to really explain exactly how to do it in minute details.

  In order to figure out how to any effect, you have to break down each part (I call this deconstructing effects). Then see how to create each part. Once you think of things this way, you can create most any effect you see.

  Here’s how I would figure out how to do the effect. Following each step is a page in Help that should assist you in pulling off the effect.

  1. Black Bar flies in:

  2. Text appears on black bar:

  3. Both fade out.

  Step 1. Draw a Black Box using a rectangle tool in Premiere Pro Titler . Put this black box over the video layer. Decrease the Opacity to 75% and apply wipe/slide effect, the direction being from left to right.

  Step 2. Write the text and put it on above the black box layer and apply the wipe/slide effect, the direction being from left to right.

  After 2 or 3 seconds or at the end, apply dissolve effect to both the layers.
