I keep trying to render a video out from Premiere Pro CS5 but it freezes early in the rendering 3 times now. The movie is about an hour long and is just a person speaking and there is an audio track added, and a few images and a title. I’ve tried rendering as Windows Media and MPEG 2 – both failed. I simply want to render it and burn it onto a disc.

Im using Windows 7, 64 bit, 8GB of RAM, and an Intel Core 2, Quad CPU. I’ve rendered out far more intensive movies (from AE) before without issue but never this long.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Sorry not sure why Premiere is freezing during render, but if need be you could open the Premiere project in After Effects and try render out from there.

I have two methods you could try.

    1) How about you just push it to Adobe Media Encoder – no rendering. Adobe Media Encoder on CS5 & 5.5 will just ‘ignore’ your render files anyway (unless you choose “use previews” It still may crash (or it may be fine!)

    2) Try the ‘divide’ and conquer method – you may have a piece of bad media.

    Duplicate the original sequence twice.
Delete the first 1/2 the show. Render.
Delete the back 1/2 of the show. Render.

Work your way though until you find the bad clip.
