PPro CS5 and CS3 Production Premium Programs
I need to upgrade Premiere Pro to CS5 so I can use more memory on my 64-bit PC. Can someone tell me if PPro CS5 and After Effects CS3 (plus the rest of the CS3 production Premium package) work together okay. Or would I be screwed? I don’t use After Effects very much, if at all, and I don’t want to upgrade the whole package if I don’t have to at this time.

You should be ok, but download trialversion and see for yourself.

It depends on what you mean by “work together”. Dynamic Link won’t work, for example. But it’s not as if the applications will crash, or anything like that.
That said, if you’re paying the upgrade price, I don’t think that you have the option of just upgrading a single application; I think that you have to upgrade the whole suite.
After Effects CS5 is so much faster and more stable that you will want CS5, anyway.
