I’m trying to crop a clip, so that just the central subject is in the clip.
So, I’ve got my clip up.
I’ve gone to Video Effects > Cropping.

As far as I understand, this is supposed to bring up some means by which I can crop the clip, like cropping guides or the like, but nothing is apparent. (I’m having fund clicking random items with my mouse, though. 😀 )

Click on the name Crop in the Effect Controls so its highlighted.
This will give you controles in the Program Window.

In the Effects Controls, click the “twirly”, or triangle thingy, by the CROP effect name and this will open the crop controls, and you’ll see Left, Right, Top and Bottom options. This is the same for all effects, you must open the drop down to see all the controls.
