    Hey,
I’m pretty new to premiere, but while trying to import files Premiere seems to crash a lot of times.
My computer isn’t super strong, but it should be able to run premiere properly. Anyone knows whats this problem about?

    Thnx ahead

    Hi Mike,

You’re question is very general, more info please –

    What version of Premiere?

Which Project Preset are you using?

What clip format are you Importing?

    Computer specs?

    Thanks

You should be importing a sequence, not a bunch of images – go to file import, then chexk on the first image of a series of images, and select “numbered stills”

Im using premiere pro CS4, with a preset of DV – PAL, widescreen 48KHZ (but the preset doesn’t seems to matter, my problems occur at any of them, and im having problems while importing any type of file, but mostly quicktime files..

My computer has a 3.00 Ghz CPU and 2 GB of RAM

    Hi Mike,

What size and frame rate are the QT files? It could be that they are incompatible with your project settings

The size is 1280 x 720 and 30 fps, is it compatible with my settings?
