  Isolating an object from saturization…

  Hi guys…

  im new here, im brazilian and im learning english yet, sorry.

  my problem is: i want isolate a moving and multi-colored object from saturization. Can i do this?

  thanks anyway…

  PS: i cant speak so well, but i can understand much better…

  I understand from your question, that you have colored footage, and want one part of it in black & white. If that’s the case, than duplicate the layer, add the “hue/saturation” effect, than just mask out the section you want desaturated.

  Andrew Kramer has a tut for blemish removal, but the methods can isolate diffent color areas of the screen to apply effects to that area alone. Is that what you want?

  He uses an Adjustment Layer as a Luma Matte on a duplicate of the clip to apply effects to certain parts of the screen (colors). If your “moving and multi-colored object” is distinct from the background it will work. Don’t worry Andrew walks you through it step by step.
