  Adding still images to Premiere Pro

  Hello,

  I have recently starting using Adobe Premiere Pro. I have made a couple films with DV video with no major issues.

  I am trying to make a DVD Slideshow with Digital Images taken from my Olympus Point and Shoot Digital Camera. The images are jpg’s and I am having major issues adding them without them either being blurry, pixilated, or with jagged edges.

  I have Premiere Pro automatically scale the clips to the correct project dimensions. I have changed the Editing mode to “Video for Windows” and I have also changed the Monitor Playback setting to “Highest Quality”. I have also rendered the work area. This has reduced the blurriness but the pixilation and jagged edges remain after I export the movie to an .avi file and play it on Windows Media Player. I haven’t found any other suggestions in the forum.

  Is there a simple step I may have missed? Can you give me any advice on this?

  I wouldn’t use ‘Scale to project dimensions’, as it uses the clips Motion parameters to control the scaling, and it’s not that great in quality, as you’ve noticed.
  Reset the images to 100% in the Motion Parameter.
  Instead, use Video Effects/Distort/Transform.

  Check your project settings to ensure that the default codec is set to Uncompressed.
