I import my quicktime files into Premiere CS3 on the MAC

    Import movie settings:
    15fps
    1024×768

and edit them, when I export the file after editing it’s huge, the import file typically is 100mb and the exported movie is around 2GB, no special effects are added, just simple editing. My export settings are:

    Video
    Compressor Animation
    Frame size 1024×768
    Frame rate 15
    square pixels (1.0)
    quality 100%
Recompress is ticked – Maintain Data Rate

    Audio
    Compressor Uncompressed
    Sample Rate 48khz
    channels Mono
    Interleave 1 frame

I just wondered why my edited movies are so much bigger than my originals, can anyone offer any advice on this

It’s probably a less compressed codec. Your source codec is not identified?
