  can’t import presets

  hi everybody!
  I got after effects a few days ago and after installing all that comes with it, I can’t upload the presets from adobe bridge via the browse preset function. it says: ‘after effects error: can’t import file “…”: unsupported filetype or extension.’ and some of the presets I found in ‘bridge’ can’t be found among the ones directly in after effects.
  what can I do about that? thanks fo your help!!!
