    Hi there!

I have to questions and hopefully You will be able to help 🙂 For start im using WinXP and CS3

    1) I working now on a new project, a short movie for a webpage and the RAW material is in mpeg (HDV). My PC doesn’t have hardware support for mpeg (like Matrox RTX2) so i thought maybe before editing i will convert my working RAW files. After i finish editing my friend will add postproduction in AE so the format i think still have to be preaty good quality. Them the final clip will be converted into probably H264 or smth like that. So any sugestions here?

    2) I need help creating one clip which is made of two layers. One layer on the left part of the screen, and other on the right. I mean i know hwo to do it but i need SMOOTH blending, one into another from left to right. I tried EDGE FEATHER on upper layer and it would work but… but if i use crop on the upper clip, smoothing with feather wont work (cause premiere is smoothing edges wich arent visible)

    Thanx in advance

Use a track matte and add to this track matte quite a bit of fast blur for fuzzy edges.
