kerning individual characters in AE 6.5
Posted by Rico Sabor on July 20, 2006 at 9:38 pmI’m looking for something equivalent to opt+(cursor) in PS.
I don’t want to track out the entire line. Thanks!Rico Sabor replied 19 years, 10 months ago 3 Members · 4 Replies -

July 20, 2006 at 10:26 pmI know if you used path text to create your text you can control the kerning between specific characters in your effects control window. Under character/kerning.

Alt arrow keys. Way better solution. I learned something today.
Thanks. -

July 20, 2006 at 10:46 pmI created a line of text by creating a solid and adding simple text as an effect. That’s the way that I did it when I used AE a long, long time ago.
I couldn’t kern individual characers in that mode. There’s probably a legitimate reason. Now, thanks to you guys, I’ve discovered the TEXT tool in the toolbox. Success!
Thanks for your help with a beginner question. It worked beautifully.
