Sound issues in Premier pro
How can a anhance the quality of the sound ti broadcast standards with in premiere pro? Avoiding saturation and noise.

I use Premiere 6.5, but have worked along-side music pros, so the rules in audio quality apply universally. From what I’ve gathered/experienced, your export audio rate (Hz) needs to equal the audio rate of the file you’re using. (ex. If you’re using a 44000 Hz audio file, your export setting should be the same. 32000 = 32000 and so on down the line.) I’m no audio pro, but from my experience, matching the audio rates up has cut down the audio skips and static.
————-HOWEVER, sometimes (and I don’t know if this is just a Premiere 6.5 glitch or what) I’ll match up the PROJECT SETTINGS to my audio file rate, and the glitches start up AFTER matching up the rates. Oddly enough, this issue was resolved by reverting the Project Settings to whatever it was set to originally. But, the rule of thumb is to match up the Hz of your audio file to the Hz of the your export/project settings. Oh, and just in case you need to know, you can check the Hz of your file by just right-clicking it and clicking Properties, and you adjust the Hz of your export by clicking the Settings box after selecting Export Movie/Audio. Most camcorders available now record audio at 48 kHz so the most common audio project setting will be 48 kHz. Some older camcorders, such as the Sony VX1000, record audio at 32 kHz. Just match your audio setting to the video that you are editing with. If you have more than one type of audio, select the setting that most of your footage uses. Once project settings are selected, they can’t be changed. If a mistake was made with project settings, open a new project with the correct settings and import into the new project.
