  Need to add a “watermark” but having problems.

  Hello!

  I’m asking what is probably a newbie question, but I’m going crazy trying to get this to work.

  I want to add a small graphic in the lower right hand corner of the screen like a watermark that most TV stations do.

  I’ve created a 720×480 slate in photoshop with the graphic in the corner.

  My background is pure white, but the trouble I’m having in Premiere Pro is I can’t get just the logo art to appear. It either is the entire slate with the white background or nothing at all (just my video shows up with no addtional art).

  I know I’ve done this in Premiere 6.5, but it’s been a couple of years and I can’t for the life of me remember exactly what the process was. How can I get this to work so my video clip shows through, but only the graphic in the lower right?

  the easiest way to do this is to make sure your logo is cut out in Photoshop, so when in photoshop you should be able to see the chequerboard background around the artwork, indicating theres no pixels there.
  Save the file as a PSD, and import the layer into Premiere. Place the artwork layer in a video track above the track you have your video footage on. Now you should be able to see your logo on top of your video. If you can’t – try scaling down the artwork layer (in Premiere)..
  Now, for the watermark effect, you just need to adjust the opacity of the artwork layer, which you do by double clicking on the artwork layer and the controls for basic attributes are accessible on the left hand monitor…
