I downloaded the trial versions of Premiere Pro 1.5 and DVD Encore 1.5. I learned the basics of Premiere Pro pretty quickly and created my short video. (which is really just a slide show of still pictures with some basic video transitions) It plays fine and I can export it to AVI. Now I am trying to get it on a DVD. The export to DVD feature mentioned in the help doesn’t seem to be in the trial version of Premiere, so I attempted to use encore to get it on a DVD. Everytime I import the AVI file as an asset in encore and play the sample DVD, all my transitions are messed up (the timing is off and it doesn’t look right.) I’ve tried exporting many different ways with different codec settings, but nothing seems to help. The AVI plays fine with Windows Media Player and RealPlayer, but any time I try to play it in encore or a DVD burned with encore, all the transitions are messed up. Am I doing something wrong… or are these trial versions buggy? I am not sure if I should buy these programs if I can’t even get this basic thing to work in the trial versions …
I would appreciate any help– maybe I am overlooking something really simple.
    Thank you!

When you export the AVI file, try turning off the “optimize stills” option in the settings and see if that helps.
