Network Proxy Rendering
So my current workflow is work all day, proxy all night, work all day, proxy all night. Our projects are usually around 04:30 or so in length and have around 8 – 10 scenes (which are proxied) per episode. I do this so if there are changes the ENTIRE project does not have to be re-rendered.
Unfortunately, we’ve officially backed up, and I want to try to farm it out. All the proxies are quicktimes (lossless), but has anyone used the storage overflow with a series of quicktimes instead of an image sequence? So it checks for a QUICKTIME file instead of an IMAGE? We’re running nucleo and everything is optimized 100% — its just A LOT OF FOOTAGE to render.
Anyone in here use Remote Desktop? I’m trying to get a VPN set up so I can monitor the machines — already ran into a few of those Mondays where they had crashed Friday night.
Thanks for any feedback — and the new Particular is FRICKIN AWESOME (dof FINALLY)
