  Custom Layout not working correctly.

  I have made and saved my own custom workspace. See Picture: (I have double monitors so everything else is on my right monitor.)

  

  If I want to put an effect on a clip and play with its attributes I press “Effects” on the top of the editing screen and it turns into this screen (see below)

  

  When I done with the effects screen and I press “Editing” it goes to this screen and not my custom screen (See Picture below).

  Why does it not go back to my custom editing screen?

  Clicking “Editing” resets your workspace to Adobe’s premade Editing workspace. You want to click on the preset you saved as your custom workspace, which looks to be “2016 Worspace” in the second screenshot you posted.
