  Video freezes but audio goes without a problem

  So here is my issue:
  I have recorded some game footage recently, and when I go to edit it, it will randomly stop in the same place (everytime) but, the audio continues to work. after about a minute, the video unfreezes and snaps into sync with the audio as if it was playing the entire time. This happens throughout the clip. So, before you say it is probably the recording, I have checked with vlc, there is no freezing. If anyone knows what is going on, please let me know, ill post a link to a video on what is happening.
